Meet Our Team

What was a simple hobby has grown into a full blown passion to perform Investigative Genetic Genealogy to bring about justice on so many fronts. 

Britta holds degrees in International Relations & Spanish from the University of San Diego and two Program Certificates; Genealogical Research from Boston University & Investigative Genetic Genealogy from Ramapo College of New Jersey. 

Prior to establishing her own firm, Go-Go Genealogy, she volunteered as a search angel for DNA Detectives & DNA Detectives UK, CeCe Moore's Facebook groups, and is the UK/British West Indies contact for DNAngels.org. 

Jumping into help with law enforcement cases and giving appropriate value and a workspace for genetic genealogists to go was a natural next step. 

GenGenies was born.

Mike is a senior executive strategist of 25 years for small businesses and Fortune 100 companies alike. He looks forward to volunteering his time and expertise to expand influence within the nonprofit platform for the sake of something bigger than spreadsheet profit margins. 

He's a father of seven children; four adopted, two step and one biological. Yes, imagine that tree! He understands where genetic genealogy started...with connecting family members of all types...and the potential it has shown to solve crimes and bring forth truth and justice to those who do not know it yet.

His heart is soft and his mind is sharp. He will be a great leader in helping GenGenies break into a budding industry. The goal is to create an entity pumping out "solves" to serve the public community at large. 

Steve is well known for putting others before himself. After a cool 30 years in the Group Health Insurance industry, his children carry on the companies. 

About 10 years ago, he turned his attention to creating and operating local, community running events. They each are voted on and approved by the city officers annually, have close operative ties with fire, police and sheriff departments, and raise money for different charities.

The dance it takes a private citizen to work harmoniously alongside private, governmental and charitable organizations is what GenGenies is based off of. Steve is an expert in relationships, communications and creating win-win-wins. 

He's here to ensure our relationship and casework are trusted by labs, law enforcement and city, county, state or federal entities, all so we can give back to underfunded communities.

Our IGG practitioners, known around here as "Genies" are each well-educated in IGG,  being graduates of Ramapo College of New Jersey, University of New Haven and/or United Data Connect IGG programs. 

Hailing from all corners of the US, some bring years of experience of practicing investigative genetic genealogy and others are still honing skills within our platform to become the next experts.

Regardless of level, they are incredibly intelligent, witty, and victim driven puzzle solvers. They will work tirelessly, humbly and selflessly for the subject.
